Saskatoon Berry Chutney

Instructions 1. In large saucepan bring sugar, water, vinegar, lemon peel, juice, and spices to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer 5 minutes. 2. Add saskatoons, cranberries & onions, bring to a boil and simmer 12-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened. 3. Cop almonds and raisins and stir into mixture. 4. Spoon into sterilized jars, seal. 5. Cool until ready to serve. Chutney keeps in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 weeks. Use as a condiment for meat & poultry. Yield: about 7 cups
