Fried Berries (Saskatoons)
2 cups Saskatoon berries
2 tsp butter (the recipe that was given to me said 2 Tbsp - I think 2 tsp works better, more butter might be good on pancakes or waffles but not ice cream).
1/4 cup or less, granulated sugar
pinch of cinnamon or cloves to taste
Instructions
1. Add Saskatoon berries to melted butter in frying pan.
2. Cook for approximately 3 minutes over medium heat stirring often.
3. Add sugar and spice to taste.
4. Cook for 1 minute more.
Serve warm over ice cream, pancakes, waffles, cake-white or angel food.
Frozen berries can be used, but increase first cooking by a few minutes.
