Saskatoon Berry Yum Yum

cup butter or margarine

cup pecans, finely chopped

package cream cheese

cup white sugar

cup cool whip

cups saskatoons

cup white sugar

cup water


1/4

cup cornstarch


1/4

cup water

 

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, butter, and pecans and press into 13x9" baking dish. 
  2. Bake at 350°F for 20 min.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Beat cream cheese, sugar and cool whip for filling.
  5. Spread on cooled crust.
  6. Cook saskatoons, sugar and 1/2 c water for approximately 15 minutes.
  7. Mix cornstarch in 1/4 cup water and add to berries and cook until sauce thickens.
  8. Cool mixture and spread on top of cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate.
