Saskatoon Onion Sauce

cup onion, finely chopped |

tablespoon cornstarch |

cup chicken broth |

cups saskatoons, cooked & crushed |

teaspoon cayenne pepper |

teaspoons lemon juice |

cup brown sugar, firmly packed |
Instructions 1. In a large saucepan saute onions in butter until golden, stirring frequently. 2. Blend cornstarch and 1/4 cup broth, stir into saucepan along with remaining broth and saskatoons. 3. Bring to a boil, simmer 3 to 4 minutes. 4. Stir in pepper and lemon juice. Serve with fish or poultry. Yield: 2 cups
