Saskatoon Pineapple Sauce



1/2 cup white sugar


1 TBSP cornstarch


1/2 cup pineapple juice


1/2 cup water


2 cups saskatoons, fresh or frozen 



1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch.

2. Gradually beat in pineapple juice and water.

3. Add saskatoons. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sauce bubbles and thickens.

4. Serve over pancakes or ice cream.


Yields: 3 cups
