Lemony Saskatoon Berry Pie

cups saskatoons


1/2

cup water


3/4

cup white sugar


3

tablespoons Jello lemon pie filling, sugar free


1

tablespoon butter

 

Instructions

1. Put the berries and water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

2. Reduce heat and let cook for 5 minutes.

3. Mix sugar and pie filling.

4. Stir into berries and cook  for 5 minutes.

5. Pour into unbaked pie crust, dot with butter and put on top crust.

6. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.

7. Reduce heat to 375° and bake for 30 minutes more.

 

Filling can be put in sterilized jars and sealed for later use.
